Inner Frame is a luxury retreat for women who wish to deepen their relationship with image making, self-expression and creative collaboration.
Meet your hosts
Beatrice Gilbo
Born in Rome and based in Cape Town for the past 13 years, Beatrice is a photographer and practitioner of the healing arts.
The daughter of an actress, she grew up surrounded by the world of image and performance and learned early how those spaces can both shape and distort one’s sense of self-worth.
Her journey through yoga and Qigong has guided her toward a grounded, loving relationship with herself, one that she now brings into her creative work with others. A devoted yoga practitioner and teacher for over a decade, Beatrice recently completed a three-year teacher training in Qigong.
Specializing in analog film photography, she is passionate about helping women feel truly seen in their softness, power, and truth.
Sophia Sem
Originally from Kyiv, Sophia is a full-time traveling photographer, director and creative entrepreneur, now based between Dubai and Cape Town.
With over 18 years of fine-art education and 15 years of professional photography experience, her work bridges commercial and editorial worlds while remaining rooted in human connection and natural storytelling.
She has collaborated with international brands, publications and creative studios across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa.
Sophia’s imagery often explores themes of presence, femininity and the relationship between people and place.
Beyond photography, in her 30s, she’s increasingly focused on women’s wellbeing and creative collaboration, developing projects that bring women together.
Originally from Hawai‘i, Kai is a nomadic creative and entrepreneur.
She co-founded Kolder Creative, an online filmmakers academy that has supported over 4,000 artists in turning their passion for film into a full-time career. Beyond the digital space, she’s hosted in-person retreats and events that celebrate creativity and connection.
Based in Cape Town since 2021, Kai recently founded Trilogy House, a space she designed for intentional gatherings and creative residencies.
Passionate about self-inquiry and wellbeing, Kai is currently studying to become a certified psychosomatic practitioner, bridging her passions for creativity, community, and mind-body connection.
